Vendor Performance Analytics Project

Project Summary

As the Coordinator of Enrollment Operations, Marketing & Business Intelligence, I led a comprehensive review of third-party vendors and internal service contracts tied to enrollment and marketing functions at Salem University. During this review, I identified significant financial redundancies and errors, including a six-figure annual loss due to overlapping services and misaligned contract terms.

After presenting my findings to senior leadership, I was entrusted with the reallocation of institutional funds, the renegotiation of existing vendor contracts, and the sunsetting of unnecessary tools. These changes allowed us to re-invest in higher-impact recruitment strategies and operational priorities.

Following the success of this analysis, I worked alongside the Executive Director of Marketing and the President of the University to design and implement a formal vendor review process. This policy now requires a quarterly review of vendor performance and contract value across departments; ensuring ongoing oversight, improved budget alignment, and institutional accountability.

Learning & Development Outcome

This project reinforced my belief that systems fail when no one is watching them. It taught me how to combine investigative data work with strategic communication to make real financial change, and how to translate short-term insight into long-term operational policy that safeguards institutional health.
