Project Summary
As a Platform Policy & Safety Intern at Twitch, I assisted with the development and analysis of creator-facing feedback surveys focused on content moderation and safety experiences. These surveys were designed to capture authentic, actionable insights from creators regarding their interactions with Twitch’s safety tools, enforcement systems, and reporting processes.
I collaborated with cross-functional teams across Policy, User Experience, and Trust & Safety to refine survey questions, synthesize response patterns, and highlight recurring concerns. The results contributed to internal policy conversations around platform transparency, content protection, and mental well-being for creators.
Learning & Development Outcome
This project deepened my understanding of how platforms navigate the balance between safety, freedom of expression, and community trust. I learned the importance of empathy-driven policy while using qualitative feedback to shape decisions that protect people without silencing them. It shaped how I think about ethical frameworks at scale.
