Project Summary
At Dick’s Sporting Goods, I assisted with the design and execution of a product color display strategy for top-performing outdoor brands (like Yeti and Hydroflask). The goal was to understand how color placement and spatial design impacted customer behavior and sales conversions.
I also contributed to analyzing customer traffic patterns in-store to influence layout decisions, improve product visibility, and enhance the shopping experience. This work supported regional merchandising decisions and helped establish repeatable strategies for future high-traffic product launches.
Learning & Development Outcome
This project gave me hands-on experience blending visual strategy with data-informed decision-making. It taught me how subtle adjustments, like product color placement or aisle orientation, can directly impact customer flow and drive real revenue outcomes. It’s where I first saw how behavioral data meets design in the real world.
